10 Websites that would Not work as Wikis

Wikis are great, i love wikipedia, ward's wiki, etc. But some stuff just doesn't lend itself to wikification. Here's a sample of '10 Websites that would Not work as Wikis'.

  1. The FBI Most Wanted List
  2. Sports and Betting Results
  3. A stock market/exchange
  4. Google Results
  5. The Guinness Book of World Records
  6. Train and Plane TimeTables
  7. Your National Constitution
  8. Prisoner Release Dates
  9. The 2007 United Stattes Presidential Election Results
  10. An Online banking application

What websites/applications do you know that couldn't (or could) be a wiki?

I have thought of creating my own Snopes wiki, sort of as a counterbalance to anything actually written on the Snopes site. That way, whenever someone forwards an email scam, and another person smugly links to the Snopes scam page, I'll smugly link to my Snopes wiki, which will then debunk the Snopes page.

Anyway, I'll let you know if I ever make this happen.

Anti-snopes wiki is a great idea.

If this blog post was a wiki, then I could correct #2 to be "United States" :)

I'd love to see what would happen if the google results for "sex" were a wiki.

Will there be a Presidential election in 2007? What for, an intermediate President due to the sudden departure of the me, my current administration, and any on the current succession list? Why didn't anybody _tell_ me?

Ah, it looks like engtech and Dubya both have their wires crossed. Clearly SG is correctly referring to upcoming (2007) election in the Royal Kingdom of the United Stattes of Qwertyuiop - not the less significant United States of America election to be held in 2008. I know that I for one, will be voting for the incumbant!
