When will VB get multi-line comments?

No, multiline comments should be turned on by default. So it would have to be Option No ExtendedComments. Then microsoft can go pattent the idea of negation in an option statement.

the reason i'd like to see multi-line comments is so that they will look better for writing comments that document the design of your code.

having to pre-pend every line with a quote character is distracting and can even be misleading.

there most be some keyword for it or some unused oprator operator like -- (this is SQL's single line comment)

What about just write the text with your line wraps and then <SHIFT>-<ARROW-UP> to mark your comment and then <CTRL>-<K>, <CTRL>-<C> for commenting it?
