Podcasts I like

I've had the chance to listen to a few of my favourite podcasts over the last week or so.

There seems to have been a recent outbreak of interviews with interesting people (if you're a programmer that is...).

Check out:

And when I feel like listening to nerdy stuff, rather than geeky stuff...

Surprised that you love Craig's podcast. He posts a podcast once in a blue moon (infrequent and unpredictable are NOT a good recipe for blogs and podcasts) and when he does, he spends too much time telling people to contact him, go to his site, send e-mails, etc. It's as if he's literally begging people for traffic rather than just putting out a steady stream of good content and building an audience that way.

wow matt. i'm sensing you're not a big fan?

yeh there's some truth to what you say -- but i enjoy the actual podcast bit. And the infrequency doesn't trouble me cause i rarely find the time to catch up.

Of course if you've been

sorry, I meant to reset, not submit.

I got bored of my own post and was going to restart. Now I can't be bothered even writing it.

I'm too tired from my own little one (4 and a 1/2 months) waking me up 3 times last night.

You'll find that the nights you stay up late (because you know they'll wake up at around 11 for a feed) they'll actually sleep until half past midnight, and the nights you go to bed early (when you REALLY need the sleep - like last night) are the nights when they'll be unsettled and wake loads.

It's like they are psychic.

Man, that's spooky!

It's half past midnight here and i'm waiting for her to wake... expected her to wake at around 11...

By the way, thanks for the Dr. Karl tip - I'm a subscriber now and love it.

'The Micro ISV show' on Tue, 20 Feb 2007 00:21:34 GMT, sez:

Cheers Matt.

Another podcast I've been catching up on:

The MicroISV show (from Channel9.msdn)

Includes interview with two of my heroes: Joel Spolsky and Eric Sink.

The sound quality is nothing compared to Pwop, but it's still above average for a podcast.
